Vitamin K2 Reduces the Risk of Prostate Cancer

Surprisingly, Vitamin K2 from meat and dairy products
lower the risk of developing prostate
cancer.
Researchers studied the risk of total and advanced prostate
cancer in relation to intakes of phylloquinone (vitamin K1) and
menaquinone (vitamin K2) in 11,319 men. During a follow-up time
of 8.6 years these men had 268 incidents of prostate cancer,
including 113 advanced cases. Men with high menaquinone intake
had a lower risk of prostate cancer and advanced prostate
cancer. Vitamin K2 from dairy products provided better cancer
prevention than vitamin K2 from meat. Vitamin K1 from vegetable
intake was unrelated to prostate cancer.[1]
Natural Cancer Treatment Pearl
Food
sources of Vitamin K2 include meat, egg yolk, natto,
cheese and curd cheese. Plant sources of vitamin K1
include dark green leafy vegetables.
This study is suggesting that fatty animal foods may decrease
the risk of prostate cancer.
But, don’t give up on the dark green
vegetables!
Broccoli decreases the risk of aggressive prostate cancer[2].
I recommend a moderate amount of animal food products,
large amounts of broccoli and vegetables and taking a dietary
supplement of Vitamin K2.
Laboratory research and
animal research confirm the benefits
of Vitamin K2 in preventing and killing prostate cancer
cells.[3]
Vitamin K2 is available as a dietary supplement through health
food stores and my office.
